Risk Assessments
Lawton Solutions can assist with many types of risk assessment, and there are the following options available for companies looking for assistance:
- We can carry out your risk assessments for you
- We can support you through the risk assessment process by providing appropriate forms, training staff who will carry out risk assessments, and commenting on completed assessments
Lawton Solutions can also help organizations with generic assessments and method statements that can then be modified, and site specific risk assessment documents and procedures.
The Management of Health and Safety at Work (MHSW) Regulations 1999
These regulations require all employers and the self-employed to assess the risks from their work on anyone who may be affected by their activities.
The regulations require employers to carry out a systematic examination of their work activities, and record the significant findings of the assessment. If an employer has five or more employees, the findings must be documented.
Certain specific hazards require a special risk assessment, some example of which are:
- Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Regulations 2002
- The Manual Handling Operations Regulations
- The Control of Asbestos at Work Regulations 2002
- The Personal Protective Equipment at Work Regulations 1992
- The Display Screen Equipment Regulations
Lawton Solutions can assist with these assessments.
Businesses in need of risk assessments may also require health and safety policies, a health and safety manual, and Portable Appliance Testing. Lawton Solutions is able to undertake these on your behalf, or advise in order to achieve legal compliance.
